  2. A radial pump has the characteristics shown below. At what speed should the pump be operated at maximum efficiency under a head of 70 m? What would be the discharge for this head? What power would be required?

  3. The performance curve of a certain pump is given by:   H = 70 - 700 Q 2, with H in m and Q in m3/s. Given the system shown below, what is the discharge and corresponding head at the system operating point? Assume sharp entrance and exit losses.
