How to place a YouTube video on hard disk

Example: juansinmiedo

  1. Go to Google Drive and download video juansinmiedo.mp4

  2. Go to Finder ⇒ Downloads and look for video juansinmiedo.mp4

  3. Wait until the video finishes downloading.

  4. Note the size of the video (in Mb) for reference.

  5. Connect applicable hard disk for eventual uploading and storage (Example: dual RRR4TB and SSS4TB)

  6. Open terminal window and cd to directory Videos_VMP

  7. List folders in Videos_VMP: ls -l

  8. Make new directory: mkdir juansinmiedo

  9. Pull New Finder window and ⇒ Videos_VMP ⇒ juansinmiedo; set in blue shade

  10. Drag juansinmiedo.mp4 from Downloads ⇒ directory juansinmiedo in Videos_VMP

  11. Open FCP

  12. In FCP: close previous library

  13. In FCP: open new library juansinmiedo

  14. In FCP: open new project juansinmiedo

  15. In FCP: import juansinmiedo.mp4 media from juansinmiedo directory to internal FCP

  16. In FCP: drag .mp4 file into stream

  17. In FCP: edit .mp4 movie as desired

  18. In FCP: click on video name juansinmiedo to activate

  19. In FCP: wait for rendering to finish

  20. In FCP: share as la01_juansinmiedo210705

  21. Test la01_juansinmiedo210705.mov in directory juansinmiedo for correctness

  22. Copy la01_juansinmiedo210705.mov into Desktop

  23. Copy la01_juansinmiedo210705.mov from Desktop to RRR4TB

  24. Copy la01_juansinmiedo210705.mov from Desktop to SSS4TB

  25. Move la01_juansinmiedo210705.mov from Desktop to Trash

  26. Move juansinmiedo.mp4 from Google Drive to Trash
