| GRADING POLICY: Midterm (30%), Final Exam (30%) and Term Paper (40%). Attendance and class participation will earn a bonus of 1/3 letter grade (Example: B+ raised to A-).
TERM PAPER:
Term paper should be typed, use an appropriate writing style, and have the correct grammar and spelling [content 80%; style and grammar, 20%].
The term paper will have five parts: (1) Introduction, (2) Background, (3) Analysis, (4) Discussion, (5) Conclusions.
Students should submit three choices for topics (first, second, and third choice) on February 22 [at 11 am].
Topics will be assigned on March 1 [at 11 am].
Topic summary (200-words long) is due March 22 [at 11 am].
Term paper (5 pages long) is due May 10 [at 11 am].
Term paper should be double spaced; stapled, not bound; start on first page.
